We have a great deal of experience in the Steel Industry, particularly in the area of Reheat Furnaces, Strip Annealing Furnaces, Ladle and Tundish Heaters, and Strip Coating Curing Ovens. As part of this experience is a great deal of intimate exposure to Controls. As with the other Industries that we serve, we are often asked to remediate and/or integrate the Plant Controls once we demonstrate our skills on the Furnaces. We can often generate spectacular energy savings (with commensurate reduction in Emissions) and improvements in Scale production and product quality when involved with Reheat Furnaces. We also have retro-fitted Ladle/Tundish Heaters for operation at very low temperatures, providing automatic and precise curing of new Refractories to the Manufacturers' specifications. These modifications have resulted in radically increased service life from the Refractories, with the resulting savings associated with this. We've been told that Optimization of Ladle Heaters has resulted in significant electrical energy savings for our Clients that resulted from reduced need to arc Ladles while stirring to bring them up to the temperature that keeps the Taps from scabbing and freezing over in the middle of a pour.
